THIS IS THE MOMENT.
Caribbean rhythm. Open water.
Yachtmaxxing takes Mauricio Palacio and Afro Latin House onto the water in Cartagena. The live yacht session brings Colombia’s Caribbean coast into the performance.
The artist
Mauricio Palacio connects Afro House, Latin House and Caribbean rhythms in this Panther session. The same artist behind Pink Brisa trades the streets of Barranquilla for a different coastal setting.
The setting
Recorded live aboard a yacht in Cartagena, Colombia, the 4K film places the city skyline and open sea around the DJ booth. Water and the changing view give the set its visual identity.
What makes it different
The location is part of the experience: a performance on the water, with the Caribbean in view and Afro Latin rhythm at its centre. It is another way into Colombia through music and place.
